Oldies but goldies

Tonight I have been going through all my work files from the past couple of years because I am preparing for a presentation I have to give on Monday morning at Camberwell college. I am not alone in this preparation at the good Suzyq and her owls will be there too. But I came across these biro drawings I made earlier this year. Sometimes you do things for the hell of it and then completely forget about them, it's always nice when you find them again.

Bird Paintings

I have a big love for birds, in particular the small urban dwelling birds. I take their proportions and send them ever so slightly off, so you are left with a bird that looks just a little bit strange. I really love working with watercolour, its such a delicate way to use colour.

Eco-cube design collaboration

This is the 1st eco-cube made in collaboration with furniture maker D H Painter, The eco-cube is a superb example of turning your rubbish into something amazing. Before it was given to me it had been made on the inside from lots of 4-pint milk bottles (others are made from fizzy drink bottles), cut and secured together to create a cube shape, then reinforced with card and finally covered in padding for comfort. My part was creating the cover design with a continued Japanese theme in my artwork the image is made from a mix of screen print and machine stitching. Quite a beautiful piece of furniture.

Another new skate deck design

This is the latest deck design I have been commissioned to create, feeling good about this one.

Japanese style window screen

This is the first Japanese inspired window screen I made about a year ago now, how time flies, but I have a new revised design window screen on its way very soon...

Full view - the print is a mix of repeated symmetric and asymmetric patterns.

Closer detail of screen design...

New Tower Block under construction

I am not a happy camper today, my digital camera broke last night... but I did manage to take a picture of the new under construction tower block I am making for my next project. Its a 7 storey new build complete with window holes and balconies for the ease of access for feeding predators... You will only understand what that means if you have seen the short animation I made earlier this year.
